Cheese Cake success

Yep, I made my pumpkin cheese cake again. I had a ton of cream cheese left from the cookies I made last week, so I decided what better way to use it up than with a cheese cake. I took it to work since i promised the guys in my department. That sucker was gone in an hour. there were 7 pieces taken out from my department, 4 that were given out to different people. The last 2 were given out race style.

I sent an email out to 2 departments and offered the pieces up. Whoever got there first won. Unfortunately I have 4 contestants. :( I don’t like when people lose.

Home Improvement Project: COMPLETE!

So last we left the home improvement project, we finished the wall paper, and were ready for the dreded wainscotting. Tuesday night when I got home from work, and my mom home from shopping with my Aunt. We decided to dive in and get started on the wood. Well 2 and half hours later, the wood was up. Throughout the rest of the week we finished up the little odds and ends.

Today was the finishing part. Carpet and furniture are now moved in. You can pics here:

I’m taking the easy way out instead of posting all the pics here, you can page through them as you like. :)

Congrats Uncle J!

My Uncle’s Testimonial Dinner went well last night. This dinner was in recognition of his reign as president for the 2008-2009 season of the Pennsylvania State Bowling Association. This position was a dream of his for at least 20 years. He’s finally made it, and he was honored by the Hazleton Area Bowling Association.

The night began with h’orderves, followed by an excellent Chicken and Fillet dinner. Dinner was followed by a lot of laughs and a few tears of joy when Johnny was presented with Proclamations from the city and state, as well as gifts and words of encouragement from friends, family, co-workers, and fellow bowling association members. Richie Molenaro and Mr. Lou jazzed up the rest of the night with some entertainment, with everything from Sweet Caroline to the Electric Slide. Festivities lasted until 11, but continued long after, and I’m sure will continue every place my uncle travels in the state.

Yay for Dogs!

This weekend was Neppy’s Halloween Day. Ok, it was really weekend 1 of Halloween at the campground, and since I have no children of my own, and Neppy is such a ham, I bought him a costume. So my very “Manly” male Pomerainean was dressed up as a… Bumble Bee. And a cute one at that.

As you can see he is quite happy with the body suit of it.

Although he still looks cute here, you can see the hat was having a hard time. He’s too fuzzy for a hat like that.

I know better than to try Kasey in a costume, but I bribed her into letting me put the hat on her.

Can’t you just hear her saying, “Ok, are we done yet? Mom, why are you letting this happen to me?” But she’s too cute.

On to today. Today my cousin and I sat at the Paws for a Cure Dog walk to raise money for our relay for life team. There were all kinds of pretty dogs there. But Bailey had to be my favorite. He won’t Most Obedient and from this picture you can see why.

His owners were getting tickets for the baskets we were raffling off. His owner gave Bailey the leash, and he came and sat by me and waited for them to finish. Granted he did go to a few other people between that, but he never went far.
