Pumpkin, Pumpkin, and more Pumpkin….
Oh, and maybe some turkey thrown in there. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope yours was happy. Mine was. It was a little different this year, as we ate at my Aunt and Uncles house. Normally, it’s just my parents, Eric, and myself, and we would normally just eat whenever it was finished. It was odd running out of here to be some where to eat.
Anyway, more baking for me this week. I made a pumpkin cheesecake to take up to my Aunt’s. It didn’t start out so well. Figured out about 2 minutes before I was ready to make it on Wednesday that I needed Sour Cream. I called Eric to pick it up on his way home from school, which ended up being an hour later. Anyway, made the cake. It came out perfect. It didn’t crack or anything. See my pics:

Tis the season, for me to get in the baking mood
…and I did it again. Found this really cool recipe for Pumpkin Cookies with Cream Cheese Icing. Sounded yummy, so I had to try it. Came out pretty good. It’s suppose to make 3 dozen – of course that’s never right. And I had way too much icing. Not sure what I did. Normally I don’t have enough.
The looked great and tasted pretty good to. My dad stole like 3 already. Here’s what they looked like:

What is the world coming to when even Santa gets told what to say???
My homepage at work is yahoo.com. I couldn’t help but read this article when I saw it there this morning. Can you believe it????
Where does the time go?
I can remember when I was little, and all the grownup use to say. Where does the time go? and I can’t believe it’s <insert some holiday here>, already. And I would look at them like, what are you talking about? I can remember thinking their was a remote control somewhere that made everyone elses time fly by but mine stated normal.
But now, I must be grownup because I can’t believe next week is Thanksgiving. I mean, I look at my work calendar and when I talked to people last. Some people I feel like I just talked to yesterday but in reality I talked to them 2 weeks ago. I feel like I have no control over anything.
Usually I look forward to Thanksgiving. Every year I get up watch the Thanksgiving Day parade, put up one of our artifical trees, and watch the dog show… by the time that’s all finished dinners usually ready.
But this year with the added company in the house, I’m not looking forward to it at all. My sister is in the present wrapping room. So anything I buy for christmas has to stay in my overly crowded room. Which should be lots of fun when my cat wants to sleep with me.
Anyway, since my sister and her daughter take over our living room all the time, I’m not sure we have room for the tree anymore.
I’m not very happy about that. Oh, well. I guess we’ll figure something out.
